Things That I Love (March 2021)

Things That I Love (March 2021)

Once again, another month has flown by.  I can’t believe March is over already.  There great things happening this month.  Here is my list of Things That I Love from March 2021.

Things That I Love (March 2021)

The United States Vs. Billie Holiday

Anyone that knows me knows that I love jazz, and I love Old Hollywood Stars, so this movie was right up my alley.  Andra Day embodied the role of Billie Holiday so much that some of the scenes were hard to watch.  I already knew some things about Billie Holliday, but this movie gave me a deeper understanding of who she was and all she went through.  This movie is not for kids, but I thought it was a great movie to watch.

NAACP Image Awards

The NAACP Award just happened, and I really enjoyed it this year.  Anthony Anderson did an exceptional job as the host.  There were so many great performances to see it was virtual.  The In Memoriam segment was so moving, in my opinion.  The music was so great, and the graphics were amazing.  It was such a great tribute to all of the amazing people we lost in the last year.  Shoutout to two of my favorite content creators nominated for the Outstanding Social Media Personality Awards, Kevin “KevOnStage” Fredericks and Tabitha Brown, who won the award.  Their content really helped me get through the craziness of 2020.

Married at First Sight, Season 12

I am a die-hard fan of Married at First Sight.  I have been watching since the very first season.  I have never seen anything quite like season 12.  The drama that has unfolded between Chris and Paige has been a headscratcher.   Out of all the couples, I think that Briana and Vincent have the best shot at making it long-term.

Masked Singer, Season 5

The new season of Masked Season has just started.  This show always cracks me up.  I guess it’s the combination of these over-the-top costumes, choreography, and the singing… sometimes good… sometimes not so good.  Regardless, it’s always entertaining.  I always enjoy Nick Canon as the host, but Niecy Nash has been doing such a great job filling in for him while he’s out.

Raya and the Last Dragon

“Raya and the Last Dragon” was such a great movie.  I had such a good time watching it with my family at the drive-in theater.  I won’t give any spoilers, but I will say it has a great message about trust.  If you have children, you should consider watching this movie.  I think they would enjoy it.

Yes Day

“Yes Day” was a hit for our Family Movie Night.  It was a delightful feel-good movie that is fun for the whole family.  It is a reminder for all of us (especially adults) to let go and have a little fun.
