Things That I Love- Monthly Favorites List (April 2021)

Every time I write one of these posts, I literally can’t believe that the month is pretty much over, and April is no different.  Time seems to be flying by.  I am going to share with you the things I that I love from April 2021.

Things I Love (April 2021)

Family Reunion (Season 3)

Family Reunion is a show that I enjoy because it is so hilarious and it’s a show that the whole family can watch together.  I am so excited that they are back for an all-new season.  If you haven’t seen it, you are missing out!  It features legendary actors Loretta Divine and Richard Roundtree.  I can’t forget about Tia Mowry Hardrict, who I feel like I grew up with because of Sister, Sister.  Alonzo Alibi plays the dad.  I didn’t know a lot about him before this show, but he’s hilarious, and I enjoyed him as the Coach on Raven’s Home.  All of the kids on this show are so talented and adorable.  The children’s roles are played by Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russel-Bailey, Cameron J. Wright, and Jordyn James.  If you haven’t seen this show, all three seasons are available to stream on Netflix.

Boom Chicka Pop Dark Chocolate Flavored Drizzled Sea Salt Kettle Corn

I’m not a big fan of sweets (I’m more of a savory girl myself). However, the one sweet thing I love is semi-sweet dark chocolate.  If you love dark chocolate and popcorn, then OMG, you are going to love Boom Chicka Pop Dark Chocolate.  The combinations of sweet and salty made my tastebuds explode. In my opinion, this snack is so good that it doesn’t make sense!  If you haven’t tried this snack yet, you should give it a try.

When I first heard about Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk, I was skeptical about whether it would taste good or not.  Then I drank it, and I was pleasantly surprised.  It was refreshing with a rich chocolatey taste, and it wasn’t too sweet.  I think this is a great drink to go with any meal.  I would recommend that you give it a try.

Kenan

I’ve been watching Kenan Thompson since I was a child.  From All That to SNL, he’s been on TV for a long time.  Now, he’s back with a new sitcom, Kenan.  I watched a few episodes, and I think it is smart and funny.  It’s about a newly widowed father trying to balance his professional career and raising his two daughters with the help of family and friends.  I enjoyed all of the episodes that I watched, and I definitely think you would enjoy watching this show.

Main Event

Main Event is a movie my son picked out for our Family Movie Night.  The film was written for tween children that love wrestling.  Sometimes when movies appear to cater to the older child demographic, I can zone out and get bored.  However, that wasn’t the case with this movie.  I was so pleasantly surprised to see Tichina Arnold, an actress that I have enjoyed watching since she was on Martin and The Cosby Show.  She played the sassy grandmother of the main character, Leo Thompson.  Seth Carr played Thompson’s role, and I think he did a great job with the character.  Adam Pally played Seth’s father.  If you have kids that love wrestling, then you will want to check out this movie!  The movie isn’t geared towards adults, but you will enjoy watching it with your kids.  This movie is currently streaming on Netflix.
