Dollar Tree Valentine’s Heart Craft You Have To See

I am so excited to share this Dollar Tree Valentine’s Day Craft with you.  Because Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks, I know you all are trying to come up with some inexpensive ways to decorate your home for the holiday.  Dollar Tree has so many items that you can use to jump-start your crafting ideas.  Here is a Dollar Tree Valentine’s Craft that is so easy and adorable.

How To Make a Valentine's Day Wood Heart Plaque

Materials

How To Make It

Making the Wooden Heart

Remove the twine rope by cutting it with scissors.

Paint the second and the fourth plank (from the top) of the heart with white acrylic paint.

Make a lighter shade of pink (if you want) by mixing the pink and the white acrylic paint.  Paint the first and the third plank with the new shade of pink.

Let the heart dry completely.

Making the Arrow

Remove the twine rope by cutting it with scissors.

Line the outline of the arrow with the Jewel Stickers, cutting them down to size when necessary.  Push the stickers down firmly with your fingers.

Go outside and spray the arrow with the silver spray paint.  Use as many coats of paint as needed.

Let the arrow dry completely.

Finishing Touches

Place the stickers on the “straight line” part of the arrow.  The stickers should be in the order: X, then Heart, then another X, and Heart.  Space them out evenly.  Glue the hearts down with a hot glue gun and push the X stickers down firmly with your fingers.

Hot glue the arrow diagonally across the heart in a downward direction.

Cut off about 9 inches of pink and red Valentine’s twine.  String it through the holes of the heart and secure each end with double knots in the back. Cut off the excess string.
